“State of Independence”

July 5, 2014 by TIA INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Hello, everyone!  I hope you have all been having an excellent summer (or winter!) in your respective parts of the planet.  I have been away for quite some time, but I plan to make the effort to be around much more frequently since I have recently detoxified and purged some long-term poisons in my professional and personal life! In the meantime, please enjoy a short time-lapse video of the US’ Independence Day celebrations observed here in Seattle last night. This […]

Seattle’s “Fog Affair”, The Sequel

October 24, 2013 by TIA INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

In January and February 2013, Seattle experienced some major low-lying fog for several consecutive days. When the fog descended upon Seattle, it literally transformed the city into something rather exotic and, to some extent, alien. Needless to say, it was quite exciting for TIA to capture several scenes around Seattle with this new, obscure ambiance hovering above the city! Seattle typically does not have thick, mystifying fog lingering around for several days. As a result, these everyday scenes one would […]

Happy New Year & Best Wishes for 2013

January 7, 2013 by TIA INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

TIA International Photography would like to extend its warmest wishes of Joy, Happiness, Success, Prosperity, and Good Health to you and your families in the New Year. I’m going to challenge myself to make at least three postings every month on this blog. There is little sense having the handy tool if I do not use it occasionally. Thank you, and have a wonderful, exciting year ahead. No more matching triple digit dates until January 1, 3001 (01.01.01)!  See you then! […]

High (Dynamic Range) on Houston

January 26, 2012 by TIA INTERNATIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY

Enjoy a photo of Houston, captured on a taxi ride on an early August morning in 2010.  Since we were going at 75 miles an hour,  I had to set the ISO to 500 with aperture at f/2.8.  I have posted the original image below.  Some photographers are purists, meaning that they subscribe to the belief that as little alteration should be made to a photograph upon its presentation.  It’s where the expression “SOOC” (Straight Out of the Camera) comes […]
